We Will March – Hear Our Voices January 20th

Click here for the March Rules and Route

Some suggestions for Our March this Saturday.

First, BRING WATER, dress in layers with comfy boots… We just saw a forecast that Omak may get some light snow on Saturday!

Second, arrive early enough to find legal parking… Think about coming in for a late breakfast or early lunch and support Omak restaurateurs!

Third, be sure to review the March Rules and Route. Also, and unlikely to happen if your sticking to the March Rules…. But if any law enforcement, fire personnel, city official or first responders (lifeline) ask you to move or stop doing something… Politely move or stop doing whatever it is.

FOURTH, if you can stay for the Rise and Organize event after the march… Even if only for an hour… Please do… This will be the best opportunity of the day to hear the concerns and feedback firsthand from voters!

Lastly… If possible stay for a late lunch or early dinner… Shop on Main Street… Visit 12 Tribes or catch an early movie… The merchants of Omak will appreciate the support, as will the City of Omak!

This is a FREE event, but please RSVP on Our Facebook Page OR at #OurMarch event page on Action Network. This is for head count only.

We Will March

Okanogan County is joining with the world in the Mass Marches between 01/19-01/31!

On January 20th we will raise our voices again to demand equality for all humans at the 2018 March.

On the 1-year anniversary of the history-making Women’s March,#TheResistance marches nationwide and worldwide, once again, for our rights.

PLEASE WEAR BLACK (see below on why) and your pink hats.

Over the past year, there has been alot that has been threatened or damaged, from basic rights for Women, Immigrants, Native Americans, LGBTQ+, Veterans, People with Disabilities, People of Color, the religious, the nonreligious, our environment and to protect our Mother Earth. We have struggled to survive under the weight of the current administration and#orangeregime.

America’s First Amendment has been challenged and healthcare for millions has been threatened. Our Rule of Law and Constitution have been disregarded and we must speak out for it to be upheld – because No One Is Above The Law, so we must Protect Mueller, McCabe and Rosenstein, as well as the brave men and women of the FBI and DOJ.

We also must demand investigations continue and impeachment of those elected officials who don’t uphold our Constitution and the Rule of Law or abide by their official recusals.

We must stand together to demand and defend our rights. Let your voice echo from our county and in our streets. Show the world that red, white and blue are colors of tolerance and that it’s #BigBlueTsunamiTIme in our county and the counties across all of our 50 states and territories.

We will not be silent!

We March for

Stand, March & Use Our Voices In Support Of:
#ProtectMueller #NationalImpeachment

We will meet at 11:30am at Civic Center Park in Omak with lots of signs with the most important messages to you.

We begin the March at High Noon, marching up and down Main Street, as well as side streets to protest what has happened to our great country, while calling for actions, from support for mid-term elections of new candidates that flip us blue to state/local legislative changes, and from impeachments at the federal level to indictments within the current WH and Congress, as well as campaign and transition teams, along with taking our stand for healthcare, our environment, DACA and everything at risk.

URGENT NOTE: Everyone must abide by pedestrian traffic laws. Stay in crosswalks and on sidewalks. Only cross at lights when green. Do NOT block streets, driveways or flow of traffic. You will be cited for any infraction.

We will conclude between 12:30pm-1:00pm, heading back to the park to join the Rise & Organize Canvass that starts between 1:00pm-1:30pm in Omak and Okanogan. The canvas will wrap up between 3:30-4:00pm

ATTIRE: First and foremost, dress warm. The Women’s March has asked us to wear black, let your voices be heard and pink hats be seen.

Like the Women’s March a year ago, we are marching united.

This is a community event held one year after the inauguration, organized by #ResistForGOOD Indivisible and hosted by all of us who oppose the harm and risks caused by the #orangeregime.

Again, we march for many reasons like those stated above, in addition to demanding justice and protections from corruption through investigations/oversight, in addition objecting to anything that we’ve lost to the greediness, ignorance and facism of this #orangeregime.
